Art & Architecture trips

We offer a rich and fascinating range of art and architectural trips. In Florence, we explore the interaction of wealth and talent that powered the Renaissance; in the Veneto, we celebrate the architecture of Andrea Palladio; and, in the Gothic cathedrals of northern France, we marvel at the ambition of the mediaeval Church.

We visit world-class museums such as the Prado in Madrid and the Uffizi in Florence, and often we see art preserved in-situ. Titian’s Assumption at Santa Maria Gloriosa dei Frari in Venice; Van Eyck’s Adoration of the Mystic Lamb in Ghent; Masaccio’s ground-breaking frescoes in the Brancacci Chapel in Florence: these are just some of the masterpieces we examine that are still firmly rooted in their time and place.

In every case – whether we are exploring the châteaux of the Loire or the Accademia in Venice – it is our acclaimed speakers who make the trips exceptional.
