We offer a variety of cultural holidays, including short breaks and city trips (often planned around a weekend), musical festivals and longer, multi-centre itineraries.
Our city-based trips offer the chance to explore a subject in detail – whether it’s the Cold War confrontation in Berlin or magnificent art treasures in Venice or Madrid. Other short trips explore stately homes in South West in England, Palladio’s villas near Venice and Gothic cathedrals in northern France.
Each of our longer touring itineraries offers total immersion in a region and its cultural heritage. In Sicily, for example, we travel from Palermo to Syracuse, taking in an extraordinary range of monuments, from Greek Temples and Roman mosaics to exquisite Norman churches. Other trips explore Mediaeval and Renaissance architecture in central Spain and ancient sites on Greece’s mainland.
Meanwhile, for music lovers we offer trips to three exciting destinations – the Mozart Week festival in Salzburg, the Semperoper’s production of Wagner’s Ring Cycle in Dresden, and the atmospheric opera festival in Verona.
